I've heard from more than one source that, if/when you get a flat on a KTM, you may just as well phone a friend (with a bakkie), 'cause them is biahtches to fix.

Fortunately, my friend Kaboef was close enough when it happened to me yesterday for me to push/ride the bike to his place - and who leaves a f#@king small alan key in the road.

Getting the rear wheel off was easy as pie. Then stood/jumped on the edge of the tyre to separate it from the rim and hooked it over the rim with ye old tyre leavers. Tube out, hole patched, tube in and tyre back on. Bob's your aunt.

My questions - Where is the difficult part? When did the dreaded "breaking of the bead" occur?

BIG thanks to Kaboef for helping me out. :thumbright:

Sorry, the pictures don't say much, but if I don't post any, no-one will read the fred
