You ever ridden through deep water on yer Ninefiddy and not drilled drain holes in your swingarm yet? Get ready for trouble. It took me 3 hours of banging that sucker 0.0001mm at a time to drive it's corroded ass out through the bearing inner sleeves, without mushrooming the whole catastrophe and rendering the whole thing FUBAR. I only just JUST got it out. Needless to say it's all clean and greasy and, um, inserted. It's a darned good idea to take it out and make sure it's a lekker slip fit before it's too late. Of course if you're a poser and never really use it offroad, then don't bother. Being the uber anal maintenance freak I am, I had to peer into the swingarm bearings at 30 000km just to make sure all was well, cleaned, and lubed. Same rules for the axles too, of course.
