Morning was cold and met at Bergville
Mountainman (950) Karl (950) Malcom (DR 800) Jan (1200gsa) myself (950)
Karl just put on 1.85x21 and its a great improvement

Start of the pass from Geluksberg side

On top and all kited for day outing

On top went through to Swinburn and had Breakfast
From the top of Van Reenen we went off down the service road to ladysmith

From Ladysmith we took some tight section toward Collans Pass aswell as some river beds

And off with the winter clober

Then off to Collans pass and mountainman gave us the breakdown of the Boer war and the battle that went down there Pritty heavy stuff

Finelly a beer in ladysmith and then home via Colenso for a quick one

I like rides where you learn more about where you are. It ads a lot and makes the difference between just a nice scenic ride and a memorable ride.  ;D
 
That pass we call Bezuidenhouts pass, it just goes past the Kwaggashoek game farm at the bottom.

Its been scraped recently and is nothing like when I rode it last year.

You guys are way lucky with great riding area down there.
 
Seems some technical riding was the order of the day this weekend.

Yeah, will ride the Champ Valley one on 15th Sept.
Are you not going to the Alfie Cox thing then?

I also want to arrange a weekend riding down with Nick at KG.
Waiting for it to warm up a little.

 
Debating it at the moment to go or rather go to rally raid but I have marked and marshalled the last two and its great riding

We have a fun ride on the 14th of july in some fo the simular areas of the wfo

I have a thing that I must stay off the big bike before a race as it makes me ride the little bike like a jelly man with parkinsons.
Seems my wife also just planned her Moms 60th birthday in Champ Valley for that weekend!

its on the service road and its about 100m but it curves thats why no light
