last minute ride to East London, leaving early Monday, to return next weekend

Hi,

I'm doing a last minute ride to East London, leaving late Sunday, or early Monday, to return next Saturday, arrive CT Sunday..  :thumleft:

4 days leave. 1 night stopover - possibly camping, or cheapish accommodation.

So, I saw somewhere someone mentioned that there was a mostly-dirt route to EL. Can anyone give it to me. The emphasis I guess will be on straightest route, but really doesn't matter, as long as general direction! 

Any advice welcome. Route, places to stay.

Anyone want to join me? Can go to anywhere en route?

[I don't really have the time to research or even hunt thru this site or BMW, as I don't have internet access at home!]
