OK boys. Let's talk about what to wear in the desert heat.
After reading the ride reports from [member=9492]Xpat[/member], [member=16016]Straatkat[/member] and [member=1090]JustBendIt[/member], I'm planning my first Namibia trip on my KTM 500.
Obviously, my adventure gear will be too hot, so I'm wondering what the wise men who have conquered Namibian heat recommend for the following:

Here's what I have so far:

Obviously, my adventure gear will be too hot, so I'm wondering what the wise men who have conquered Namibian heat recommend for the following:
- Base layer (do you use one? If so, what product works best?)
- Armor (I'm using Leatt 4.5 body protector. Would that be too hot?)
- Jacket or Jersey (I'm using a Klim Mojave Jersey. Would a jacket be better?)
- Pants (I'm using Klim Mojave. ******* love these pants, but curious as to what you use that vents the most air.)
- Gloves (I have Revit Sand 3 gloves. Should I use textile MX gloves?)
- Helmet (Visor or Goggles? Dual sport or full MX lid?)
- Underwear
- Socks
