Loud Clunk Noiseon Startup

I have this loud clunk noise, only heard on cold startup. The bike will swing and sometimes if I let go of the starter too quick it makes this loud clunk noise coming from the engine, but its also heard sometimes even if I keep the starter in, you'll hear it through the starter swinging.

It sounds like metal slamming on metal inside the engine.

Any other KLR owner had this before or maybe know what it could be?
