Low cost GPS for bike use

I have been into the GPS reading in our forum for quite a while but the opinions from the dogs are so wide open that I am even more confused now.

As long as I can't make up my mind which more advanced unit I would like to buy, will a cheap 205W hidden in a Kappa GPS bag not be able to guide me to through the smaller dirt roads in SA?
