Maar mens gebruik tog die clutch baaaaie meer....of praat jy van die spanning van die kabel?
Skuus @MaddyS ek warra warra nou oor die ding op jou Thread

Well, I asked AI to explain.

Why would a motorcycle front brake lever bend forward?

A motorcycle front brake lever may bend forward due to various reasons, including:
  1. Impact or Crash: If the motorcycle has been involved in an accident or collision, the front brake lever may bend forward if it bears the brunt of the impact. The force exerted during the crash can cause the lever to deform or bend in an unintended direction.
  2. Mishandling or Dropping: Dropping the motorcycle or mishandling it can also result in a bent front brake lever. If the bike falls to one side and the lever hits the ground or another object with sufficient force, it can bend forward.
  3. Excessive Brake Force: Applying excessive force on the front brake lever, especially during emergency braking situations, can cause the lever to bend forward. If the force is concentrated near the end of the lever, it can lead to deformation or bending.
  4. Manufacturing Defect: In rare cases, a manufacturing defect or weak design could contribute to the front brake lever bending forward under normal use. This could be due to subpar materials or improper construction.
It's important to note that a bent front brake lever should be addressed promptly. A damaged lever may affect brake performance, compromise safety, or cause difficulty in operation. If you notice a bent brake lever, it's advisable to have it inspected and, if necessary, replaced by a qualified motorcycle mechanic or service technician.

Ek dink iemand het gekarring aan daai bike.
Jy kry mos maar baie poepholle.
MAAR jy gaan ook nie sommer met die hand daai lever kan buig nie, hy sal any waarskynlik snap as hy nie warm is nie.
VERY weird......laat kyk maar daarna Maddy.
Beide levers.

Ja, I'm planning on replacing it, even though I like the position and gives me a better grip 🤣

Maybe a known issue at SYM, bad batch or something?
I'd contact them and just find out.
Maybe there's some recall or something
I think they'd be interested to know about this in any case

It must be a very soft alloy of some sort. Did the top of it perhaps jam up against the handguard while you were braking hard?

No, I cut the ball of to make sure there was no contact when I put the handguard on. I didn't with the clutch and that's what caused it to snap, not bend

I think that your brake lever is too soft an alloy, possibly due to a manufacturing glitch. The clutch lever snapped because it was harder.

We saw 2 little SYM's in the Garden Route... my my, they are cuties.

Should maybe trade one of our bigger horses in for two ponies.
