Bought this beaut a while ago after owning 2 v-stroms.  Wanted something that could take me to those places a strom just cant get to without killing it.

Its a 2007 model with a low 1500km on the clock when I got it.

First thing I did was give it a once over, looked up the known issues on TT .
1. Checked valve clearances (dealers don't do it at first service) . Adjusted them to bigger side of spec.
2. Did the locktite fixes, stator bolts, flywheel bolts and countershaft sprocket ( after I fitted a 15T sprocket )
3. Cleaned the oil tank screen and changed the oil and filter( remember small o-ring)

Next was the luggage rack pooratech style:

Luckily the later E models came with the strong sub frame,  rack works as a handle to lift the bike as well.
