Kove 450 Rally - "My China"

Finally got myself my 1st brand new bike and tomorrow we head out on its maiden(running in) voyage.🥰

Up and till last week I struggled to come up with a name for the newest member of the family 🤔🔅and then it suddenly came to me, "My China" as I am from the South and the bike is from China

In Fourways they always chirp "Howzit My Bru" but us from the South always "gooi" " Lekker, My China".

One exception is my good mate @McSack who always "tunes" this, even though he is from The Grove:LOL:

Anyway, @Exploratio kindly offered to have a tent set up for me @ the bash being held in Fouriesburg this weekend, so it is the perfect opportunity for me and my china;) to get to know each other better.

Packed and ready to go 1st thing tomorrow morning

Will update this thread on a regular basis and give you my opinion of the bike as I go along

Cheers vir eers
Just curious, what do they sell for?

Thank you all for the messages(y).

Just got back from the maiden "shakedown" ride on this bike and all I can say is "wow", what a nice bike.

Did a total of 740km over various terrain and chose the worst lines on the roads and jeep tracks and the bike soaked it up with ease

To summarise this bike so far, i think it suits all types of riders and is an ideal small adventure, touring bike.

If I have one issue, it would be the side stand, which makes the bike stands too upright. I think that if I shorten it slightly it will work wonders

I will presume you did let off the clickers quite a bit first?
Minus 5 or 6 or more if you like, Foxy told me one can take off all clicks without any problem!
If you haven't you're bouncing around unless you're hammering it - but if you do you glide more, which is better for the hemorrhoids.
So, if you haven't take a Screwdriver with, and NO, that's NOT a drink this time!!
Play around and see what you like best, and it's soooooo easy to revert back - a thing a lot of riders forget or are 'afraid' of, plain silly if you ask me.

Nice bike this, VERY nice.
Checked it out over the weekend
Seems like an "easy" Bike to use
And weird....but it's an Enduro type of bike AND/BUT ...I'd use this to travel to a destination too, all day long.
Baaaaaie nice!

Jis that looks like a flippen lekker bike. I have a view questions,

1. Seat comfort? - still the standard seat?
2. exhaust heat - anything to worry about?
3. open road cruising speed?
4. was that the standard tyres fitted, and how do they perform on the road?
5. upgraded exhaust - what are you planning to fit?

You should have nicked the keys Petri, then you'd know that this bike travels VERY well - on paved roads I mean, it's super comfy and keeps up with the bigger ones easily unless they go racing.
120-130 all day long, it was one of the things which made me get mine - and no, a 500 can't hold a candle here!
I'm on my 3rd 500 now, awesome bikes yes.... but quite different, and "traveling" like you say I'll do on the Kove anytime please! 👌

Ja I was actually surprised how "good gravel" even paved, friendly this actually looks.
And that seat is soft(ish), het hom heel eerste gevoel😁

@BuRP - I did not adjust anything on the bike as yet because I wanted my 1st impression to be what the bike is like "off the showroom floor" and thus when I left home on Friday it was the 1st time I had ridden on the bike.

The only thing I did do prior to getting the bike was that I sent my seat to Deon as per your advice

One on the right is the std seat and one on the left is mine after coming back from Deon

I will however chat to Conrad about future suspension settings but can honestly say the bike was smooth at my average speed of about 70km/h over the 700 odd km
