Michael van Reenen aka; Slique was a member here and passed away on Friday 29th Feb.
He had been a coma for about a year with complications from a motorcycle accident close to the 12 Apostles. This accident aggravated injuries that he had sustained from a previous motorcycle accident about 2 years before.
He was a deep thinking, humorous, straightforward personality. He was very intellectual with a knowledge of a huge array of topics. I enjoyed our chats and working together and he certainly helped me on my way professionally.
He was also responsible for getting me back into motorcycles and lent me his Transalp and VFR for rides to Swellendam and back.
I will miss him.
He wrote a piece that I thought said a lot about him and biking;
