Bought this 2006 Dakar from a friend of a friend a few weeks back. 40k km. Well maintained mechanically but with the expected few scrapes and scratches. I've always liked the looks of the single spark bikes, the black and white in particular, but the facelift bikes don't really do it for me. Only one choice of colour scheme, which means all the bikes are the same. Weird screen. No extension on the front mudguard. And I also prefer the early black instruments. So I'm going to try and get this bike looking a bit closer to what I want.
But first I really need to do something about the sound! Busy fitting an exhaust from a GSXR which is a popular mod with the DR650 guys and sounds great on the DR so lets see how that pans out.
