Meh, there are some restrictions here in the Highlands but nothing too major at the moment;  I'm suffering more from end of season-itis.  Shite weather, no chance of heading off somewhere exciting and a somewhat uncertain outlook to next year (I'm in the tourist trade).*

Still, on the upside I've got 23 litres of Argentinian Carmenere to bottle today.  Tastes pretty promising, should be lovely by Christmas.

*Shouldn't bleat, me and mine are all healthy.

Goodness, can't believe I missed this first time round.  What a cracker of a RR - thanks Three Dawg! Beautiful pics and just love the avuncular commentary. Thanks heaps.

A quick post script: Altus, who we met at the beginning and end of this trip did indeed make it from Cape Town to John O' Groats as per the T sirt he's wearing at the Cederberg spitbraai (and wrote a book about it) but unfortunately the day he was due in Inverness was the same as my Dad's funeral.  We've kept in touch though, and hopefully will catch up next time we're in SA. :eek:ccasion14:

nice to follow ur reports .......thanks for sharing :thumleft:

You're welcome.

I looked back at a page or two of this RR, and the pics seem less sharp than they should be.  Wonder if it's a Photobucket thing.  I generally use Flickr now and those photos seem fine.

Thanks for this RR 3D.

I remember meeting you and your wife at Oasis, at the start of your trip, can't believe I missed this RR.

Glad you and yours are safe, the "No Riding" thing is always the worst, worse even than been locked down.

Regards from a sunny SA :thumleft:
