I decided that i needed a smaller bike than the 950
Something light, something fast and something cheap to run ( ye that will never happen)
After a lot of looking around it was down to X challenge ,690 enduro or a 525 that i could adapt some what
I came across this 525 on e dirt that had done the dakar in 2007 and the gentleman racing got time bared on the 7 day
and just look at all the extras that come with it
My idea is use it with the small tank for offroad
Use the large tank with a screen of sorts for adventure riding
and add some of the following
Corbin seat damm the original is an ass killer
HT oil cooler to stretch the service intervals
A a cush hub to save the gears
Vapour speedo
After the first 180 km ride i heard a sound from the clutch cover side so i opened and found that one part of the inner clutch basket had broken off and given me a nice machined look on the inside of the clutch cover
And just to top it off when i got the part and changed the inner basket i found that it had been welded up before
any how also gave me a chance to look inside
But the aluminum filing are some thing to flush out
Here the filters
Sneak preview of what i am busy with
More soon
