@FredK , @Psycho Porra , @Muffin Man + Mike (dunno his nick), @Off Road Cycles (meaning Sirk), read here - and weep if you will say no!!!
And, if there's any other Kove owners here, make yourself known and pitch in here please???

How about all us Kove pilots go do the same/similar ride like @Xpat & me did as per my above report, on the weekend of Friday-afternoon 29 November, Sat 30 Nov & Sunday 1 December?
Of course Martin himself is most welcome to come lead this pack but I'll leave that entirely up to him.

The idea is to .....
sleep Friday at the Marico Oog (swim, braai, joll) - which isn't too far from our suburbia so is a short ride,
then ride the Botswana Border pieces on Saturday and stay over in Camp Moselasela,
and Sunday we track back to Beestekraal, have lunch there and then we all go home thereafter.

This ride is a roundabout ~800km mix of tar & offroad, not technical and very scenic, and those with an eye for such will see some game also 👌
Time aplenty so zero hurry for anyone in the group, we'll ride at a relaxed pace which all can do easily.

Who's in for this????
Thanks Bart, would be very nice, but I will be in Lesotho spectating at the Roof

Spotted this bike somewhere parked at a lekker workshop near to me, apparently from some client they said.
Owe up, who's is it????

Jis, kyk hoe mooi opgepas is daai 350 in die agtergrond!

Porra daai lyk netjies!

@dookie ,

So, during my Lesotho ride (mainly there I reckon) I bashed my bashplate.
Carbon Fibre is light yeah, and quite strong too, but when it gets "too" much it cracks.
See pics, some cracks did pierce through a bit so a plan was needed.

A small dent in the header as well as in the frame rail correspond with a crack in the pan's flat belly, and the other crack also sits there.
The rest is just scratches and look worse than they are, they buffed out and have largely disappeared - but the flat bottom needs some additional protection.

Enter Molecule Motorsport in the US, which have exactly what I wanted: a plastic flat-ish but shaped underside with an additional piece to protect the linkage, and this lot just screws against the bottom of the carbon pan which stays in place!

So I'll get busy now with my fave hobby, screwing! (y)

Proper plastic is the way to go. A reviewer had a rock going through the carbon and damaging the fuel pump.
Well done!

Oom Bart. Ek het nog nie hele thread gelees nie...

Hoeveel km's het jy al gedoen ? In een sin wat dink jy vd bike.

Well, never mind screwing, ek moes biki saag ook!
When the plastic underside was screwed to the carbon pan it turned out that it interfered with the sidestand being fully down, so I had to cut a corner ...... and although that goes against my nature I did 😋

IMG_0139.jpg

The plastic plate has a kind of extension for protecting the linkage...

IMG_0140.jpg

... plus some heat-reflective tape to protect it from the exhaust pipe.

It looks good, fits well, and I'm sure it will do the job - and ditto for the 'sides' of the carbon pan, they've done this thus far anyway.

So, done fiddling, ready to ride, rough also (y)
