Being a pharmacist I have been working like crazy since two weeks before lockdown when the public starting going crazy for sanitizers, face masks ,immune boosters and whatever they felt necessary to protect themselves from the virus. This week I decided I deserved a break from the madness and so this morning I departed on a midweek 600km round trip. It is quite chilly early mornings so I only left home in Kempton park at about 7:30am.
Stuck to main tar roads to Bapsfontein and then unto Bronkhorstspruit. From Bronkhorstspruit town traveled about another 23km before turning right towards Zusterstroom. This is where the first gravel started and is also one of my favorite gravel roads near Gauteng.
From here I carried on to Loskopdam and then unto Dullstroom
Stopped next to road for a quick cup of coffee and rusks and to warm up the body.
My next stop was in Dullstroom and luckily Seattle coffee was open so I could refill myself with my 2nd cup of coffee. Returrned home on mainly the same gravel roads except I went via Tondeldoos which I have never visited before.
So now I can return to work again feeling refreshed and adventurous.
