I left Rosetta on Friday at around 11h00. The wind was rude.... apparently there were gusts up to 147kph :eek7:
The bike got thrown around near Sterkfontein Dam like an empty beercan, and i had to wrestle my way to Clarens, where I met Draad and Butch H..... they didn't look too impressed either, but the stopover at Clarens Backpackers soon had us in fine fettle again!
Didn't take too many pics, but had a lekker ride down to Ladybrand the next day... plenty refreshment stops, meeting lots of friends along the way....
Campsite was lekker and shady. Pity  my visit was so short.

Thanks what a awesome time was had had a super time rode down on friday with Gryshond,GeVarlik, pietskiet, kleinPK,dwerg and jan not sure of he's forum name. Stopped at Val for breakfast. Did some dirt to villiers and then to clarens for lunch.  Of to the bash we went. Met great bunch of people but to to the lack of my permanent sobriety will still have to figure out the rest. Back we went to clarens decided to find a place to stay. Got a backpackers and myself pietskiet and kleinPk had a interesting time for sure and many stories to tell.  Left Monday early with the fear of rain but made it safely. Thanks again to all.

A privileged few of us saw this move being flawlessly executed without spilling a drop of booze.

Setu Bandha Sarvangasana roughly translates to Brakpan Park Bench yoga

I never though it possible without years of training. Although....

Beautiful paintjob on that Alp Tommy :thumleft:

Atigun and Trailblazer safe... just a bit disappointed that we couldn't ride the bikes down. Atigun is the one on crutches, and they don't work too well with bikes  ;)

Thanks to those who organised the whole do... it was enjoyable!  :thumleft:

Also nice to hook up again with some old familiar faces

The lady that wrote the reply on Facebook is WD member from Ficksburg called 'Thundermare'. A local guy from Ladybrand, Hannes Loubser assisted at the scene and made sure that the injured BMW R1150GS rider got back to Bloem safely, etc.
Thundermare has more detail if you need...
