National SE Club - why join?

Since I purchased this SE - https://wilddog.net.za/forum/index.php?topic=68195.20 - the weekend, and due to comments made that I must join the SE club, I want to ask (without stepping on toes, nor reading through 15 odd pages of the original post) why must I join?

Don't get me wrong. I'm interested in the benefits, reasoning for the club etc.
