I just copied from my post on F650.com sorry if it sound stupid .
Hope somebody can help with this problem. My 04 Dakar mashed the waterpump gears on 60000km. The bike had zero cooling system problems too that date.
I replaced the gears and also the shaft seals and impeller at the same time. From there did about a 1000km on our trip from Malawi to Tanzania when we stopped for fuel and I notice after the bikes were standing for 15min or so my Dakar waterpipes are still swollen with pressure. I reffer to the pipe from the radiator down to the pump its easy to see when swollen. The other 3 Dakars on the trip with me, their pipes are at normal pressure. It seems as if mine does not release the pressure or cool down quickley enough.
I suspected the radiator cap and swopped with one of the other bikes, it made no difference.
Then just shortly afterwards, around 200km, water start dripping from the weephole. It does not drip water while riding it only starts dripping after I have stopped and the bike is off for a couple of minutes. It got progressively worse till now around 500km further with more water dripping from the weephole. This all happened the last two days.

The bike is not overheating, the fan is working, and the red light has not came on since I replaced the gears. Also the shafts seals are the correct way in. And I used a mixture of anti freeze and water.

I am not sure if the two cases are related or if the shaft seals are duds or the pressure in the system after stopping and because it does not drop pressure then push water past the seal.
Also what can lead to the pressure not droppimg after the bike was switched off and how de hell do I fix and trouble shoot this?
I also can not tell whether my Dakar had this pressure thing going before or its entire life, I only noticed it now when riding with others to compare.

I need to fix this as we are going up to Sudan and its getting hotter. Http://pikipiki.co.za
