Hi all,
Just a brief email to introduce myself.
I am a "Seth Effrican" & also an "Aussie" now living in Perth, Western Australia. Still support the boks !!
I have recently acquired a BMW F650GS courtesy of my brother - (known as the "Pig" on this site) and will no doubt be regularly returning to my beloved SA to do adventure rides.
We are planning a trip through Namibia next year & I would be interested to hear from others who may have done such a trip.
I am a novice off-road rider but will be coming out to SA next month to ride the bike & do the BMW intro. to off-road riding course. My present "bike" here in Aus is a 125cc Yamaha scooter so the GS will be a big step up - though I have ridden bigger bikes in the past.
I am somewhat "vertically challenged" as they say at only 5ft 3in so I am a bit worried about the seat height but my bro says the bike is really low - yeah he's over 6ft & rides a 1200 GS adventure - so no problem for him.
Anyway it will all be fun. I saw a nice bumper sticker over here -- "Adventure before dementia" ;D
Cheers,
GS Piglet
