Hey all
I've been given the go ahead to build the new online shop. ;D
EDIT: The idea of the shop is not to take sales away from forum vendors, but rather to drive their sales through better accessibility and visibility of products.
Here is a basic outline of what we'll be doing:
Wilddog Merchandise
Vendors will be allowed to design and produce merchandise to be sold on the online store. KilRoy will be responsible for quality control, forum vender fees, royalty agreements etc. When all is in place, Arch will place items on the store at the agreed price. This will be the final price to the consumer and will include all transaction fees, vat etc.
Other Merchandise
At some point in the near future, we will be expanding the store to accommodate the sales of other items from forum vendors, such as tires, helmets, gloves or whatever floats your boat. In this instance, the online shop will simply provide a place for vendors to display their items together with the payment channel.
All Store Items
All items that are to be place on the online store will go through a formal, yet simple application process to protect the store and owner, so that no vendor can say that Wilddog Shop sold items that the vendor never wanted on sell. Killroy and Arhangel reserves the right to deny applications and add/remove products to the store. Example Credibility of vendor might be in question, product out of stock, non-relevant products (No, we won’t be selling Wilddog Condoms with studded paws…) or for whatever other reasons. Multiple items of the same nature will be allowed on the shop, as long as they not copies. For example, there can be different T-shirts from different vendors, as long as they are not copies.
Events
Events will be added to the store from time to time. Event organizers can contact myself or Killroy to discuss the details. This will make payment and bash administration much simpler.
Financial Model
In all instances, the shop will collect the money from the consumer, keep a percentage as transaction fee to cover bank costs (around 5% with upper and lower limits, details yet to be determined), pay the necessary royalties (if applicable) and transfer the rest of the money to the vendor.
Shipping
Shipping fees will be dependent on the product, vendor and you location. This will be an optional extra to each item on the store, if the particular vendor is willing to ship.
Customer Care
Product related issues and queries (wrong size, colors, bad quality, incorrect quantity etc) as well as refund requests will be directed directly at the vendors and is not the responsibility of the forum or online shop owner.
Different Shop Sections
Might include, but not limited to...
Clothing - Shirt, tops, pants, caps, buffs etc.
Riding Gear - MX Shirts, reflective jackets (helmets/gloves?) etc.
Bike Stuff - Tyres, luggage etc.

I will let you know as soon as we are ready to start taking applications to load products to the site. No, the application forms have not been drawn up yet.
I realize that we might have to iron out some details, so please bare with us as we try to enhance this forum.
