Hi gents
My usual disclaimer: I'm a mechanical novice...
But I am attempting to replace the rear wheel on my bike anyway because:
So first up, is this sprocket worn? Should I replace it?
[Attached the image, see below. Not sure how to insert it here]
Second up:
Am I being stupid? It's an XR650L and I am following the Clymer manual. It doesn't really seem that complicated (check bearings, check seals, grease the things, install/align wheel). But maybe I'm playing with fire here and better to either get a professional to do it, or at least check it after I think I'm done?
Third up:
Manual doesn't say to, but should you grease the whole of the axle "shaft" ? (told you I'm a novice)
EDIT: my man here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kRCuW8M1hVI answers some of that. God bless this man.
Thank you kindly!

- YOLO and I need to learn
- the bike came with a spare, brand new takasago excel wheel incl tyre
- the current rear tyre is pretty worn
