So, after 65000-odd km of riding, I started wondering about this...
When stopping at an intersection (level surface, no incline pull-off) is there a preferred foot to put down?
I have always tended to put my right foot down, maintaining control of the gear/clutch and using front brake for stopping. (I am right handed, so guess this is also the "strong" side and feels natural.)
Obviously different surfaces will involve a different approach:
* Put foot down on the side that has highest ground if surface is sloping
* On really steep inclines, put left foot down so as to maintain control of rear brake for pulling away
