Thanks Ri for a wonderful trip story, its far better than a "report" ! Your photo of the fat Kokerboom is simply lovely, the best of the bunch for me, and its flowering as well !
Watched an episode of the Safari4x4 recently of the part of their trip along the Namaqua 4x4 Route and their visuals were amazing. having said that, many were taken from a drone, so most people will never actually see those views for themselves.
Thanks again, and well done to Keith for pushing his riding limits  :thumleft:

Those flowering kokerbome kept catching my eye, I also thought they were quite unusual and beautiful. When I saw that fat one, I had to stop and capture it. Glad you enjoy it too

Of course not, 2SD. I’m a frail old man, and she is , as Loewelife described her, the “boggling bokkie”.

Besides, in philosophical terms, you must sleep in the bed you make for yourself...

:imaposer:
I'll be sure to make myself a better bed next time.

"boggling"? :eek7:

That convo was on the bike; imagine the jol we have had since 1991 in the kloofs, crags and the big hills where the bal truly finds his voice! He is humble yet revered by generations of Kingswood kids he has introduced to the hooley in the hills! A ride with KJ is not to be missed.

Fantastic ride report . I have travelled solo through the karoo and find myself  wanting to go back just for that feeling of being alone and isolated from humanity. I always make little movie clips of    Lots of nothing for my kids . The northern cape is amazing . Thanks again Ri

Finally found the time to read this ride thank you for sharing .  :thumleft:

Thanks all, pleased you enjoyed it

There are plans to combine a bike trip with a rock climbing trip. So many possibilities - Cederberg, Montagu, Towerkop... :drif:

Just read all 5 pages Ri !
Thoroughly enjoyed yr RR. Ri !
Having had the privilege  of riding with Crossed-up in that area , and having been there as part of the Amageza Crew.
Reminds  me how  much I miss  riding the Northern cape. and Richtersveld..
