I recently purchased a set of KTM LED Indicators for my '10 KTM 990 Adv R. They are listed under the PowerParts catalogue as compatible with my bike.

The kit includes a LED Relay Flasher and the instructions explain how to replace the stock relay flasher with the supplied unit.
Now if you have a '09 or later 990 there is no flasher unit as the flashing is controlled by the hazard switch on the dash. The indicators work without installing the LED relay flasher, but they flash a bit fast. Ironically the hazards still work correctly.
At this point I have two choices.
1. Install resistors in-line with each indicator (Resistors get hot)
2. Leave them as is and accept that they just flash faster.
Has anyone else installed these LED indicators on a '09 or later and found a nice elegant solution?
I will also get the local dealer to contact KTM to ask for some official word on the matter.
