Got two priceless tips from zee german maestro, lecap, when my bike went for a service yesterday.

Saw this on his bikes:

It is used on the axle nuts instead of the split pins, makes sense to me. I would still carry a spare splitpin in case it gets lost somehow. Apparently they develop a migration habit at bike rallies according to lecap.

Also replaced the chain adjuster lock nuts with a single nylock on either side. Why didn't I think of that?

Also, the philips screws holding the side fairings on was replaced with allen key ones that have a large flat head, still using the plastic washer underneath. Allen key is the same size as the one in the kit to remove the bashplate, so no need for another tool.
