That is the cleanest KLR I have ever seen, must have been heart breaking to see it slip away.

Respect - all I can say

Thanks for all the positive feedback everyone - Really appreciated :)

"Ice ice baby" - hahaha, love it!  I'm sure my boet will too, and that caption is no joke, it really was his birthday that day.  Good present eh?

Ja briv, that would have been us in Williston, "gearing up" and grabbing a bite at the "Willison Mall".

The KLR looked much cleaner when it came out than when it went in!  But it was dripping water from every orifice, and had little pebbles and sand in places a girl shouldn't have pebbles and sand.  I drained the sump of at least 3 litres of river, and then took her to the ever depenable claus tyrzyk, who is busy stripping and cleaning her out, I have a few pics from claus that I'll post.  I live in hope that the "TanquaNaught" will ride again.

Looks like we were not the only crazy people caught in the snow, we just made it out of there alive.

Very hardcore!!! Awesome RR and beautiful pics!  I also love the formation on pan!  :thumleft:

No man, you don't even concider Sutherland in the summer, much less winter, dammit how much OBS did you guys pack for the trip. But hats of and respect boys, wow epic trip.

We stayed over in the Sutherland area in over that long weekend as well. When it started snowing on the Saturday I was glad NOT to be on a bike. It was freezing indeed - as you can see from the pictures.

On a more sober note. The KLR will have to be resprayed completely. The minerals in the water have already started to do its work. You will most probably have a rusted up bike in a year's time in any way. With the cost of replacement parts (most of the electrics will have to be replaced for a start) a Write-off might be the way to go.
My 2c worth...
