I bought my older DR650RSE 93 model about 2 years back rode her a bit, then due to work interfering with my biking she stood a while, now that I have time I have decided to start my re-vamp
My criteria are as follows.....
1.Bin the stock fairing and headlight (this may offend some purists)this will make the bike lighter and more "crashable" plus the rattling of the plastics offroad and the bulb fusing constantly from vibration won't drive me crazy anymore.
2.Longer fuel range (Acerbis tank, forced me to bin fairing anyway)
3.Keep the bike relaible (Stock carb is simple , no big engine mods)
4.upgrade braking , check wheel bearings etc.
5.Added protection and cosmetic upgrades as DIY as possible
