Excellent, I like reading Boerwar History and this was a fantastic read.  Had gradfathers in both British Army and Boer Comando's.

On our way back (into Karoo ) from recent bash, I visited Deelfontein.  Trail rider, some interetsting stories there?

railway track riding?  De Aar towards Cape Town, how many Blokhuise?  how many km tracking the line???

Die RR het sommer my lees lus weer aangespoor so begin ek met iets ligs.

Die Kaapse Rebel.

Die gaan oor  Kommandant Edwin Conroy. Selfs lekker maklike leestof.

Ek dink om op sy roete vanaf Graaf reinet na Kakamas te ry sal ook nogals interesant wees.

Daai ou sal jou uit sy graf verwurg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for all the feedback guys. I was unsure whether a RR like this would work on WD. I am planning a similar thing on Kmdt Lotter (my wife's maiden name) as well as Scobell who hunted them.

Dit behoort ook goeie tydskif artikel materiaal te maak.

Ek sien uit na die ander, so klim uit daai nuwe hangmat van jou en raak besig

Well done Trailrider , what an inspiring read .
Leftless  , crossed-up and I have a passion for all these old boer roads and the history around them in the Cape and so too many other DS Riders in the Cape.
Many Thanks

Classic history well told and great photo's too. I read the book on him many years ago aswell as all I could find on Danie Theron. That might be a good topic for you TR.

Thanks for the invite to meet up but I'm already out the country and miss it big time... but will contact when next in GB.

Looking forward to the next installment.

Ian
