Yes you do at the SA border post, the road is okay up to this point.
There is nothing on the Lesotho side which can sometime make it difficult getting out again
if you run into an official with an attitude.

Jislaaikit!!!  :drif:

Die Trip het vinnig opgeskuif op my bucket list!

Thanks for sharing!

I am always amaized that so many riders make a big hype about Sani-pass ( it is stunning however ), yet they forget that there are a number of other awesome passes in Lesotho that rarely gets mentioned.

Ongeluks-nek is a good example as well as the pass up Ramatsiliso, the awesome Matebeng-pass and Jockstrap-pass to name a few.

Thanks for the ride report, Ongeluksnek can become a nightmare in the mud :thumleft:

Looks fantastic and only a few hours away from Durbs :thumleft:

Howzit Jack seb here, looks like a nice ride i will get a few guys together from my neck of the woods. the same three muskateers that travelled with me down to Eco this year. we would love to explore some of your backyard  :drif:

Howzit Seb and the rest, just let me know when you want to come through, I am quite flexible and allways looking for an excuse to ride.

Can give you special rates in my Hotel, of course no obligation to stay with me.

Put your knoppiestyres on and let me know.

Sorry about the off's Stuart but at least it goes with a nice story.

They were just fall overs but one was at a  bit of speed and the bike got hurt.
But now it's fixed. Welded up the spot bracket, made up a new plastic bracket the chain guard.
The rest was just loosen and straighten.
The DR650 is low tech just needs a shifting spanner and a hammer to fix. ;)
Next trip end of April is a big one down to the Cape, lots of bucket list items to tick off there.

Thanks for all the info. Going past Lake Letsie in April and was looking for some confirmation that we could camp next to the lake. Looks like such an awesome spot

Going up Ongeluksnek again 3-5 March, will let you know what it's like.

Going this weekend, I think I am going to get muddy! :ricky:

The two grandpa's did it today!
RR to follow when home.
The rain washed the sand from the rocks, so plenty dongas and spinning!
You need big brass ones for it at present.
We picked the bikes up plenty.

oh sounds like you had a busy time...will wait for the RR
