Hi,
is anybody able to tell me if the SW-Motech Trax aluminium panniers (37L) are better than the standard BMW F650GS system cases? I have to replace one of my standard panniers, so I am considering replacing both with the Trax panniers.
I'm not sure of the capacity of the BMW system case, so I don't know how they cmpare in size.
What I do like about the standard cases is that the locks use the ignition key, which makes life easier. The BMW cases themselves are pretty solid, but I find the mounting on the rails is not as positive as it could possibly be e.g. they bounce around alot on rough dirt roads. I have adjusted the depth of the bold which the cases lock onto and this does help a bit.
Does the Trax Quick-Lock Side Carrier allow for more positive/firm mounting?
I'd appreciate some feedback.
Cheers!
