Its a guided commercial tour - imo not right to ask for the tracks....

Pay the money and go ride with.....

Nicely done. Please upload your track for me.

In a sense, I agree with you. But it's also public road and up to the vendor to share the route or not.

Sometimes these tours are priced a little extravagantly, for what they are. Though, WW posts are far more dual sport than Adventure biking, something that we've needed for a long time.

That any tom **** and harry can ride it whenever they please.

Just because there is a commercial planned ride through the baviaans, does not mean I cant go do it on my own.

no issue with you riding on public roads on your own after planning your own ride.

actual point that you are missing is around the requesting of tracks from a commercial operator on a public forum, just so less effort can be put into planning your own route - that is IMO wrong...............

use it - don't use it..........

Easy guys,

I often share popular routes with fellow Wild Dogs, but the routes I've taken a lot of time plotting and testing to turn into coherent tours I tend to keep to myself.

This Orange route includes crossing some private land and it would be unfair to publish and then be responsible for gangs of guys riding through.

Cheers
John

Did Geoff Skip the Hondeklip bay sandy tracks on his ship?

Lekker pics!

No way. It's the third time Geoff has done the trip with us and he loves the sand tracks.

The first time he road it with us he had very used 50/50 tires and still just cruised through.  Sand is a head thing and most bikes will handle those tracks.

"This was always going to be an extreme challenge"

And then a 1190 finishes it without a scratch?

Not quite true.  Geoff had to pick his bike up at least once.  But that was more because I stopped in an unfortunate place where his only options were to ram me or fall.  Thankfully he chose the latter.

nice trip.....love the combination of desert and river

:thumleft: I did one of John's thoroughly amazing trips, in fact this very same route, and Geoff was along too, and to answer Kreef's question, Geoff did the sand quite easily.
