On the way to Piggs Peak.

We started our epic journey at Piggs Peak and after a eventfull evening of fun and large amounts of Booze, we packed the  4x4
and trailer, Our driver had dropped out of the trip and so we took turns to drive the 4x4 and tow our
bike for the day.
We did the offroad route through The forest of Swaziland and then headed to the border crossing at Moz.
The plan was to cross the border and ride inland into Mozambique for 14 days of offroad adventure
riding and just make camp where we ended middle afternoon.

And so we had started our ride that we had being planing for months into the Wild African country side.
We made camp the first night in a rural village near Chinhanguanine where we put up our ex army
tent and proceeded to pickle our livers. Here we encountered the most friendly local inhabitants,
They opened their hearts and shebeen to the exhausted Pathfinders.

From here on we encountered the SAND MONSTER which was to be our PARTNER for at least 1400kms!!!!!

We setup camp in Bela Bela, but do not recommend this village as most of the inhabitants
were pissed and high etc and we did not feel welcome or safe here.

and found a piece of Paradise run by a local "Joseph" who treated us like Kings, we stayed
here for some well deserved RR for a day and a half.

A bazaar thing happen here, we had not seen any other pale skins since leaving the border
when suddenly out of the deepest darkest Africa, along come 4 KTM's 690 / 990 who after
sharing a few riding stories with us ask what we ride and we all proudly answer "KLR's"
after which they seemed to look down on us and soon left, but the bazaar thing is they
started the trip with 6 KTM's and where allready down to 4 due to electrical problems.
(long tow home)  :imaposer: :pot:

VIVA KLR's  We started with 5 KLR's and ended with 5 KLR's. :laughing4: :3some:

The next morning with an alchoal induced hangover ( now know as Malaria ?) we again get away
from the hussle and bussle of the coast and head inland to Panda, Marao and back to
Xai-Xai. Here we found and old disused locomotive repair yard with at least 7 steam trains dating
back to 1870's and made in the good old USA and The UK There was this old desk with the old paper work like
log books and job cards and stamps dating back to 1967!!!!!!!!!( The Colonial Poros just Up and left]
