So the gearbox has new bearings and I sourced a good clutch , she shifts much more positively and that
horrible clunk is quieter, also got rid of that knock when idling with clutch engaged.

So now the next move is to convert the stick coils, as mine are failing again after only 32000km.
Can someone who has a twin spark with a decent pair (of coils) plse measure the primary coil
resistance for me. Seems to be some confusion online regarding what they are against what the
manual says.
According to the BMW repair manual, its 0.5 Ohm and Secondary is 7.5 Ohms
