Hello everybody ,
I am helping our secretary plan her honeymoon road trip. She and her husband would like to do a trip through the Karoo specifically with the aim of taking photographs of the landscape and interesting little towns etc.
They are planning to leave Pretoria on the 12th of October and have four nights to get to Velddrift on the West Coast. They are travelling with a Toyota Hilux 4x2 so mild offroading won’t be a problem. They would also like to incorporate a night in ‘Die Hel’ on the way.
Any of you dogs have suggestions of good accommodation or interesting sites in the area, or can propose an interesting and scenic route?
They do not mind doing a day of N1 down from Pretoria, just as long as the driving from the second day on is not too long and more interesting. (Obviously if someone can propose a more scenic route down to the Karoo that would be greatly appreciated.)
