Now that Jules has left GP for the coast, we shouldn't let his railway service road rides fall into disuse! Anyone feels like doing the ride to Potch this Sunday?
For those who haven't done it yet, in spite of the fearsome reputation of a "Jules' Ride", this is noob-friendly. It is only a small step up from average dirt road riding, with a bit of mud (not always), some loose ballast stones (feel a bit like sand, but easier).
Leave from Pinehaven (N14) at 07:00. Should be in Potch by 10am, brunch, then back. Usually back in Jozi by 2 to 3PM (depending on time taken over brunch, route and fixing flats).
I have asked Jules for the track (I rode it with my son late last year, using memory, but got a bit lost here and there).
