ek wil graag. dink ek moet by xpat moan en saam hom ry.
Maar ek het sy vorige roetes ook in die area gekry en wil dit graag ry...ekt net nie veel maaitjies met 701's nie.
Maar elkgeval, dit is verseker op die kaarte! ons het al redelik van daai goed met die 990's gery, dit bly awesome

He did tap @Xpat for suggestions, many of which we used, though Xpat did warn us off a few which he felt were not suitable for an 890, forcing my riding buddies to miss out on those. I think I am going to head out there and check a few of them out without a group so that I don't mess up anyone's day - other than my own.

The starts weren't too early..around 8ish as we tried to have a good breakfast before we left. We ended the day's in good time mostly around 4ish too.

You have sent me down a rabbit hole - Helskloof Pass, plus its family Domorogh Pass, Maerpoort, Akkedis Pass, Halfmens Pass & more! If MPSA rates a pass as dangerous - it has to be ridden. So I have been researching the next ride when i should have been finishing this ride report.

Day 5 dawned. This was the day Gus had been training our sand skills for. Last year riding the Holgat river section had taken us 2hrs 6min.

I, for one, had a number of my key metrics recalibrated and any and all deficiencies brutally highlighted during these 2hrs 6min.

This year, Holgat River was poised like a sword of Damocles over our heads. But with it, being adventure bike riders, was excited anticipation. In our schizophrenic state we rolled into the day, with our mood varying between fear and trepidation, to exhilarated anticipation.

But first things first, breakfast must be had.

With an owl to keep us company.
