As we ventured further North, bushes were giving way to rocks. Not the nice friendly variety found in most places, these growled at you, sharp edges salivating at the opportunity to bite into a rim.

We were forced to strike a careful balance between the speed required for the elevation changes and terrain and these ambush predators inhabiting the tracks.
