Rally/adventure trousers

I wanna get myself some new pants that will be wide enough by my knees to fit knee braces. I know the BMW rally pant give you great protection and made to go over braces but I don't wanna buy the BMW one as the price is just crazy,

What other alternative do I have that's gives much more protection on road than normal off-road trousers...
