Earlier in the week I was a bit hard on the rear brake and the rear slid/snaked for a bit before I let go of the brake. Not a big deal. Didn't see anything on the road, but I suspect there was some diesel or something. (I might also just have been too hard on the brake). Whatever the case may be, it was only a second or two, but I didn't feel any ABS kick in. I've tested the ABS on dirt and it worked as expected, so I was wondering; are there cases where the road surface might be so slippery that the ABS might not recognize the lock-up with the "lower-tech" ABS used in the little Honda? I'll watch some YouTube to get a better understanding of how the ABS works, and I'll go ride again tomorrow to lock up the rear to test, so it's more of a theoretical question at the moment.
