I fitted lowered foot pegs on my XRL and had to adjust both the gear lever and the rear brake lever.
My problem: I’ve screwed the adjuster to it’s maximum and it’s still too high.
My question: The adjuster bolt now touches the lever at the bottom. Can I simply cut the bottom of the bolt shorter and adjust some more? How much of the bolt is still inside? At which point have I gone too far?
I would prefer the lever level with the peg or a little lower.
The alternative is that I bend the lever or revert back to standard height pegs.
I’m not a mechanic so have no idea what I’m doing.
