Rear shock protection?

After having dropped some coin on a new rear shock I would like to protect my investment. I want to protect the shock from road debris. Looking around I see a few options, most popular seems to be the Mudsling. There is also one from Wunderlich.

What are the opinions? What works the best? Who stocks and how much?
