Just the latest in a long line of f-ups by the DPO.
He decided it was a good idea to spray the inside of the tank (probably to mask rust) and there are some nice long paint cracks formed already. Using the tank as is will just mess up the carbs, so the paint has to come out.
Problem is that it is a high value RD tank with a nice external paint job which must be conserved and not damaged.
Plenty of threads on Net about removing rust ftom inside tanks but very few about removing paint.
Anyone came accross this before, or have some suggestions?
