Yo dogs!
I'm planning a trip this weekend through the Richtersveld from Kotzehoop to Alexander Bay, 2 -up on the the bike.
Any info regarding this route would be appreciated. I've already done the obvious research. Google, Tracks4Africa, SANPARK, etc.
Basic info:
Were sleeping at Fiddlers Creek friday evening. The plan is to depart early Saturday morning for Alexander bay, following the river and then crossing into the park, then via Rooiberg to Alexander Bay. Basic equipment I'm taking along is:
1) Puncture kit (including all tools required).
2) 5l Water
3) 5l Fuel (distance is only 130 km, but one never knows!)
4) First Aid Kit
5) Emergency Rations.
The info I would like some advise on:
1) Are bikes allowed throughfare to Alexander Bay?
2) Is the route okay 2 up?
3) How long will it take to cross to Alexander Bay.
Any advise will be appriciated.
