[member=1090]JustBendIt[/member] , what a spectacular report, lekker man  :thumleft:

I read the thread on 4x4comm now, and it is funny!  My favourite comment being "PS, I watch a lot of survival shows,..."  :lol8: :lol8:  Edit:  That, and "This is like being bitten by a sheep."

That video of your brother on his bike gives good perspective, it is flippen insane.  Whereabouts in the video did your bakkie get stranded?

On the last big rock step up about 500 metres from the top

When touring around in your car, with just the wife and I, the thought of something like this happening crosses your mind sometimes.

But only very briefly.

Jy sal vrek brand daar!!

Jy moet net al die knoppies in die Amarok druk dan raak hy Amabroek.

I had a 3.0 Ford and now drive my Dad’s 3.0 Amarok every now and then. Jy klink nou soos ‘n ou wat sê ‘n modded 2009 Bmw800 is beter as ‘n 2021 Africa Twin 1100[emoji23][emoji23]

You know a lot about engines and bakkies and trucks ...me too. I like the low down torque and amazing fuel efficiency on my 3L 4CYL Mazdarati ...I like the plushness and fancyness of the Amarok ...but out the box its too soft and vulnerable for proper 4X4 driving like this ...and it makes its torque too high up in the rev range so you feel like you are always flooring it ...and **** its heavy on fuel in comparison to my bakkie ...average 15 l per 100 km on Amarok vs 9 l per 100 km on my Mazda

Your Mazda obviously does alot better than the standard models. I really enjoyed mine. My 3.2 BT-50 was also a great vehicel offroad in standard trim, only thing I am sorry I sold when I left SA. Trying to find a vehicle now, and Stoetie doesn't want to help me. I might have to buy a Mazdfa again :)

and Stoetie doesn't want to help me.

Wil hy nie of kan hy nie??!!!
Koop daai silwer 2.8 wat Enzo adverteer. :deal: :thumleft:
