Doing some research for when the itch gets overwhelming and we just have to ride . Thinking of using a different route to my favourite destination " Clarence "
Departing Kempton park and head east to Delmas from here towards Leandra - Evander and then turn south to Standerton . From here we make our way to Vrede and then Memel . From Memel on to Harrismith via Verkykerskop , this bit has some dirt road , not sure how good or bad it is ? From Harrismith its N3 and over Van Reenen's pass , toll gate and off at Bergville plaza , heading towards Bergville . Then up Oliviers hoek pass turn south west ( i think) and head to Golden gate , ride through the park and arrive at out destination . Sunday head home . Frankfort or Heilbron options .
If you have any info on any part of this route , please share .
Again not sure when we will ride it , but info is always handy !
Another option is to carry on from Standerton and go to Volksrust - Newcasle -ladysmith and then head to Bergville and the rest .
