Greetings Hounds!
On this year's Word Rider Tour of the Bible Society both my bikes were in action. Me and my wife on our trusty Pig, and one of the Cape Town gang on my Roadster.
But on the tour, the Roadster started coughing towards the end. Hy loop en ruk lekker man...
I have noticed that the tank appears to be rusty inside. And I also know the petrol filter to be quite old...
I don't have any technical skills whatsoever, and am also a bit broke after buying my son an airplane ticket to America.
So... I would like to know:
1. Who in the north of the country does a good job relining tanks?
2. WOuld a new fuel filter solve the hickups?
3. As I am really broke, and this might be a good candidate for a café racer project- what would it be worth? It was built on 27 February 2000, although Zambesi BMW says it does not exist. (The whole R850 R range...) It needs a good service, but did a 3000 km tour in March...
