I heard today that Alan Hall, the owner of Imbabala Lodge, a riding farm in the KZN Midlands near Weenen and home of the new BMW offroad academy, was tragically killed in a car crash last night.
Alan was on his way to the Mafikeng Desert Race, with his son (who survived with minor injuries) in their racing van. I saw Alan just before he left Durban, and he was always such a treat and fun to be with. He raced a TM bike, and his son went along to support him in the race. Don't know much more at this time, just sad....
