Firstly - thanks to each and everyone of the Wild Dogs on the trip for contributing to the overall enjoyment and therefore making it so successful. This also includes our ‘rally driver’ Amelis for his brilliant skill in keeping the support vehicle in close proximity so consistently.

Milage – Total distance was 1735 km’s.

Accommodation – Perfect (Food, shower and bed)

Route – Mixture of tar, gravel and sand.

Bike – The best for all by far.

Tyres - Front:  Mitas E10 (second trip on tyre)
          Rear:  Metzeler Karoo (T)

Kit – Mostly consisting of fresh daily riding attire for the first two days thereafter everything besides the Camel Backs, puncture repair kit and tools was loaded onto the support vehicle.

Customs – The only gripe was the hassle of filling in paperwork while carrying a helmet, gloves and backpacks for security reasons. Obviously the irritation of waiting the additional hours at Kosi Bay to allow the officials to ‘provide us with a better service’.

Traffic Officers – Once on the Maputo bypass and the other in Swaziland on the MR1 to Piggs Peak where they asked to look at our Drivers licences and I had to show them the contents of my backpack. (They must have been looking for those famous green leaves)

To arrange for next trip – Latest version of Tacks 4 Africa.

NB !!! Warning
Look out for a gentleman dancing at the local night clubs near Cecil Mack’s pass who’s proudly wearing his new flashy casual shoes. They did belong to Bushboy until the white plastic bag they were in worked itself loose on his bike. I rode up alongside him and pointed to the bag, Bushboy immediately stopped, tore the plastic bag from the bike and proceeded to hurled it a considerable distance into the bush alongside the road. Imagine the joy on Sipho’s face when he stumbled onto this plastic bag in the middle of nowhere.

Short video to follow shortly.

Great Trip guys.  Just wish I'd been fit enough to join you.  Maybe next time.
At least the sun was warm and the beers cold at Bike Week in Margate.
