Fantastic JVB. Really great that you are getting that Triumph out there doing what its made to do  :thumleft: Sani pass in your pics actually looks like it is in decent condition at the mo

Hi TVB
Brilliant article. Have to take the old Tenere up there sometime.
I dont know if this is a stupid question but can you go from SA through Lesothu, over SP and into KZN or is it better just to go up to the top from KZN and come back down again.

Hi Bill sure you can but going down only is for sissies. Really easy to do. The UP part is where more skills are required.

Some video's of Sani.  Sorry for the quality, but I don't know what format and size to make it and still keep it small for upload.

Jy bang.  ???

:drif:  :thumleft:

:bueller:

Baie mooi fotos julle, dus hoekom ek eers ons land wil verken.

Thanks Mate, I would suggest to do it both up and down in one day. When you go up you don't realize how steep and tough climb it is. Coming down is like wearing glasses when you need it...it is quite a revelation and the view is spectacular, you jut have to do a up and down!! You can always turn around just before the SA border post and go back up and procceed all the way to the Katse dam!!  You better plan and do it, the lady at the hotel told us the very day we went up SANI that the paperwork is signed, they are going to put asphalt all the way soon. This time they say it is for real :deal:

Thanks Woody. Going to plan a trip soon

Sani is a special adventure, not because it is so difficult (although respect to anyone who takes one of the big bikes up!) but because the views and scenery are so stunning. But then, most of Lesotho is just great adventure riding from what I have seen and heard.

A few years ago, I bought a little book in a bookshop in Clarens, all about the history of Sani Pass, the people who lived there, traded in the area, and the building of the pass as we know it.  Fascinating.  I'm sure that tarring it is "progress", not sure of the direction however...  :-\

Wou die een nog inslip... I LOVE my bike..
